Before final assembly of the flap and aileron to the wing, abrasion shield A18 should be installed on the aileron torque tube. This shield should be located inside hinge pin F11 of the flap centre hinge bracket to protect the aileron torque tube from direct contact with F11. Fabricate A18 by cutting a 2" piece from the tubing supplied.
The A18 shield should be located in a position that will approximately centre it with relation to F11. This location may be determined by install...
